At CR Kennels, we take great pride in specializing in the breeding of Miniature Dachshunds, with a strong emphasis on ensuring the highest standards of health, temperament, and breed conformity. Our breeding program is designed to produce puppies that not only meet the established breed standards but also possess the friendly and playful personalities that make Dachshunds such a beloved companion. We offer both AKC and Non-AKC puppies, catering to a variety of preferences while maintaining the same high level of care and attention for all of our dogs. Each puppy is raised in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment, where they receive the care and socialization they need to thrive. From the moment they are born, we prioritize their well-being, socialization, and early development, ensuring they grow up to be happy, well-adjusted, and healthy pets. Do you provide health guarantees for your puppies?

All of our adult dogs are DNA health and genetic tested to help eliminate future problems as your dog ages. We do offer a written health contract that outlines our one year health guarantee and other conditions that a dog could develop. This is made available for you to review after placing a deposit and will be signed upon picking up your puppy.

How do I reserve a puppy?

You can reserve a puppy by filling out our online application or by contacting us through email, Facebook, or text/call. Upon reviewing, we will have a brief conversation about your living situations and what you are looking for in a puppy to ensure it is the right fit. At this point, a nonrefundable deposit of $300 will be placed towards the purchase price of the puppy. Puppies will be picked out after we know coat length and colors, usually around 3 weeks of age. Deposits are accepted on a first come first serve basis.

What do you do to prepare your puppies for their new homes?

We take great pride in the quality and health of our puppies. As far as health protocols go, puppies are dewormed on a schedule of 2,4,6,8 weeks of age. This is a preventative measure to help their little bodies stay strong. They are also given their first vaccination between seven and eight weeks of age under the direction of our veterinarian. Puppies are socialized with other people in our home and accustomed to common household noises. They play with other dogs and spend plenty of time outside on the farm exploring. We don't like them to be scared of anything, so they also spend time playing around water and getting baths. Of course, they also have plenty of toys and things to chew on. Puppies are raised on Purina Pro Plan puppy food and weaned from their moms around 6 weeks of age.

What comes home with my puppy?

All puppies are sent home with plenty of things to set you up for success. If from an AKC litter, they will have their AKC registration form and a litter certificate with parent information. All puppies leave with Fi nano microchips that are free to register to you. Health records and medical history will be provided as well as our contract outlining our health guarantees. We are also happy to share that each puppy comes with free health insurance for the first 30 days to help you have peace of mind as they transition to a new home. Lastly, we send you home with a baggie of food, a blanket, collar, and a toy for your new family member.
